This project was part of a university brief to test our skills and learn something new to help us become experts in our chosen design fields. I created a short story zine based on my friend Eleonora, whose life revolved around basketball. The story discusses specific mental health issues and how sports can help people overcome them and improve their well-being. The zine has 16 pages and combines photography, illustration, and typography to tell Eleonora’s story from when she first started playing basketball. One of the challenges I wanted to set myself was to be more expressive with the typography in the zine; I used size, colours and distortion to help emphasise elements of the story.
